Benjamin Netanyahu Highlights ‘Shared Values’ and ‘Unyielding Spirit’ in Note to Modi

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu highlighted the “shared values and an unyielding spirit” of India and Israel in a condolence note to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The message followed a deadly attack in Delhi that claimed eight lives.

“India and Israel are ancient civilisations… united by shared values and an unyielding spirit,” Netanyahu wrote. He used this to frame his message of resilience: “Terror may strike our cities, but it will never shake our souls.”

The Israeli leader, on behalf of himself and his wife Sara, offered “deepest condolences” to the families of the victims. He pledged that “Israel stands strong with you in sorrow and in strength.”

The message concluded with a powerful affirmation: “The light of our nations will outshine the darkness of our enemies.”

The investigation into the blast has been formally handed to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The agency is probing the incident as a “terrorist attack” and is reportedly focused on a Jaish-e-Mohammad module.
