The trailer scored 718.6 million views in its first 24 hours — more than double the 365 million set by Deadpool & Wolverine’s Super Bowl teaser. It also surpassed Spider-Man: No Way Home’s 355.5 million first-day record, which Brand New Day itself had previously contributed to. Even the Grand Theft Auto VI trailer — a non-film record holder at 475 million — fell behind.
The one billion total is a milestone that was not on any industry roadmap before March 17. No promotional video from any franchise, in any medium, had cleared this threshold. Brand New Day achieved it in less than a business week, signaling a new era for blockbuster marketing.
Opening July 31, Brand New Day is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The star-studded cast includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo.
