Portugal Defeats Denmark 4-2 to Maintain Nations League Lead

Portugal maintained their perfect record in the Nations League with a 4-2 victory over Denmark in Copenhagen, despite the absence of star player Cristiano Ronaldo. João Cancelo opened the scoring for Portugal in the 13th minute, but Denmark’s Mikkel Damsgaard quickly equalized. Gonçalo Ramos restored Portugal’s lead, only for Rasmus Højlund to level the score at 2-2 early in the second half.

Vitinha put Portugal back in control with his first international goal, a header, and João Félix added a late fourth goal to secure the win. With this triumph, Portugal remains unbeaten and at the top of their Nations League group.

Meanwhile, in Group A2, Germany marked a significant milestone as Jürgen Klopp achieved his first win as head coach. Germany defeated Serbia 2-0 in Munich, with Tom Bischof scoring his first senior international goal to open the scoring. Florian Wirtz then doubled Germany’s lead in the second half, helping the team to an important victory under Klopp’s guidance.

In the same group, the Netherlands staged a comeback to draw 2-2 with Greece. Fotis Ioannidis and Giorgos Masouras gave Greece a 2-0 advantage, but Virgil van Dijk reduced the deficit, and Tijjani Reijnders scored an equalizer in the 89th minute to earn a point for the Dutch side.
