Brad Pitt Announces Title and Release Date for Cliff Booth Film

Brad Pitt is set to reprise his role as Cliff Booth from Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 film, “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” in a new spin-off film directed by David Fincher. Titled “The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth,” this project will follow the character of Booth, a Hollywood stuntman with an enigmatic past, as he navigates the evolving landscape of the film industry. The movie is anticipated to have a two-week global IMAX release starting on November 25, before making its way to Netflix for streaming on December 23.

The screenplay for the film has been penned by Quentin Tarantino, although he has opted not to direct it. Tarantino has expressed enthusiasm for continuing Booth’s story but mentioned he did not want his final directorial project to be a sequel. Set in 1977, the new film takes place eight years after the events of “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” exploring Booth’s life as he adapts to the transformations within Hollywood.

In addition to Brad Pitt, the film boasts a star-studded cast featuring Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Peter Weller, Matt Groove, JB Tadena, Corey Fogelmanis, and Karren Karagulian. The original film, “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” showcased Pitt alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie, capturing the essence of late 1960s Los Angeles.

David Fincher, known for his work on films such as “Fight Club,” “Zodiac,” “The Social Network,” and “Gone Girl,” will be directing the spin-off. Fincher also has experience with Netflix through directing series like “House of Cards” and “Mindhunter.” This collaboration marks a significant reunion for Pitt’s portrayal of Tarantino’s iconic character, with Fincher’s direction offering a fresh creative perspective on the project.
