Nvidia CEO Advocates for Increased AI Integration in European Industries

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has called on European industries to embrace artificial intelligence (AI) to maintain competitiveness in sectors such as automotive manufacturing, healthcare, banking, and industrial production. Speaking at an Nvidia-hosted conference in Berlin, Huang stressed the importance of integrating AI into companies’ operations and product development processes.

Huang’s remarks come amid Europe’s efforts to bolster its position in the global AI landscape, where the United States and China currently lead. He pointed out the potential of AI to drive advancements in autonomous driving, robotics, drug discovery, and financial services. European companies, particularly those in the industrial sector like Germany’s Siemens and France’s Schneider Electric, stand to benefit significantly from AI adoption due to their extensive manufacturing operations and access to industrial data.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has also urged smaller industrial businesses to leverage their existing data to foster AI innovation. However, security concerns persist, as a recent survey of 603 German companies indicated that 45% of respondents worry about the potential exposure of sensitive commercial information when using third-party AI tools.

To address these concerns, Huang highlighted Nvidia OpenShell, a security-focused environment designed to maintain AI agents within user-defined boundaries. As European businesses continue to explore AI-driven solutions, balancing innovation with data protection remains a critical challenge.
